Connecting through flowers at IFEX Kunming 2026
At the 24th Kunming International Flower Expo, EMV Flower Farm spent a memorable day among new rose varieties, industry partners and friends from the Netherlands.
On 18 September 2026, representatives of EMV Flower Farm attended the 24th Kunming International Flower Expo in Kunming, China. It was an opportunity to see the breadth of the flower industry in one place and to reconnect with people who share our commitment to growing quality blooms.
What is IFEX?
IFEX, the Kunming International Flowers & Plants Expo, brings together growers, breeders, traders, florists and suppliers of equipment and services. Held in one of China’s most important cut flower production and distribution centers, the 2026 exhibition ran from 18 to 20 September at the Kunming Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center. Its displays and industry activities offer a place to discover varieties, exchange ideas and build connections across the flower supply chain.
Reconnecting with our Dutch partners
Among the highlights for our team was meeting Eduard Koks of De Ruiter Innovations and Oscar Niezen of CoHort Consulting in the Netherlands, one of EMV’s partners. Seeing the rose displays together and spending time with them made the visit especially meaningful. For a flower farm in Indang, relationships like these connect our daily work to a wider community of growers and specialists.
A Dutch welcome in Kunming
We were also grateful to attend a reception hosted by the Government of the Netherlands through its deputy ambassador to China. The gathering gave us another chance to meet people working across the international horticulture sector and to celebrate the connections that flowers can create between countries.
We returned home with warm memories of the people we met and fresh inspiration for the work ahead at EMV Flower Farm. Our thanks to everyone who welcomed us and shared part of the day with us.
